Extension EmpireUtils

Data collected or processed

EmpireUtils may process the following data when a trusted user installs and uses the extension.

Discord authentication data

When the user signs in with Discord, the extension uses Discord OAuth to obtain the user’s Discord identity. This may include the Discord user ID, username, avatar reference, and a temporary Discord access token.

EmpireUtils authentication data

The extension may create and store an installation identifier and may store an EmpireUtils app token returned by the EmpireUtils authentication service.

Imported game account launch data

The user may import a local token JSON file. The extension may store account names, server information, game login tokens, token expiry information, grouping settings, favorites, and related launch metadata locally in the browser.

Game tab and runtime data

On supported Goodgame Empire pages, the extension may read and process page status, frame status, runtime objects, socket status, selected game server instance, runtime logs, and user-requested game actions.

Alliance chat data

If the user uses the chat formatting feature, the extension processes the chat message text, selected color, formatting settings, and optional link entered by the user.

How the data is used

The data is used only to provide EmpireUtils functionality, including:

Data sharing

EmpireUtils does not sell user data.

EmpireUtils may communicate with the following services:

Imported game token files and local account lists are stored locally in the browser and are not intentionally uploaded to the EmpireUtils authentication service.

Local storage

EmpireUtils stores settings and account launch data in Chrome extension storage and IndexedDB on the user’s device. Users can delete this data by removing the extension or clearing the extension’s site and extension data.

Retention

Local extension data remains stored until the user deletes it, clears browser extension data, or uninstalls the extension. Authentication tokens may expire automatically. Server-side authentication records are retained only as needed to provide access control, security, and abuse prevention.

User control

Users can stop using EmpireUtils at any time by uninstalling the extension. Users can clear local extension data through Chrome settings. Access to the private extension can also be removed by removing the user from the trusted tester list or authentication allowlist.

Third parties and prohibited uses

EmpireUtils does not use user data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated tracking. EmpireUtils does not sell or transfer user data to third parties except as required to provide the extension’s stated functionality.
